About
After a 4-years degree in Modern Literature at the University of Bologna, I took my PhD degree at the University of Pisa in 2009, defending a thesis on the MS Egerton 943 (British Library). In 2010 I have been Francis A. Yates Fellow at the Warburg Institute (short-term) and I currently am Newton Postdoctoral International Fellow for the British Academy at the University of Leeds.
My primary interest is in Dante considered in his broad cultural, historical and scientific context, in the reception of the "Commedia", in its iconographic tradition, and in the philological problems concerning both the poem and its Trecento commentaries.
At the moment, I am working on the project "Franciscan Florentine Culture in the Age of Dante".
