is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute of Communication Studies, University of Leeds, UK. I am also a lecturer in Communications at the Faculty of Leadership and Management, Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM. Did her Masters Degree in Da’wah & Leadership from National University of Malaysia and B.A. in Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage (Fiqh & Usul Fiqh) from International Islamic University, Malaysia. Prior to joining academia, she has served at the ASTRO All Asia Broadcast Centre, a sole satellite television station in Malaysia for seven precious years. Her experience at Al Jazeera News Unit, Network Presentation Unit (Content Compliance, Multimedia Interactive Technology in ASTRO have inspired her to explore various areas of media, culture, and religion. Her research focuses on cultural production and labour,particularly in Islamic media environment.
