From the Detroit area; graduated Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan in 2007 with BA in English, Suma cum Laude. Attended University of Leeds and was awarded MA (With Merit) in Postcolonial Culture & Literature, 2008. Currently applying for a PhD which I will focus on Bessie Head, Unity Dow, Yvonne Vera and Tsitsi Dangarembga.
